Weekend Redux

As you can see, the dog days of summer have been rough for Rosalind. Here she is trying to stay cool with a bit of swimming. Also, she's swimming with a duck. This fact might seem strange, but as you can plainly see, she is swimming in a large cow trough that in any other life would have been used to water cattle. And, what you can't see is that said trough is located in the bucolic scene that is my parents mini farm. Which means that Rolo was luxuriating in her trough to the sounds Cows mooing, Horses Neighing, and Fowl chattering in their respective species' way. So a duck seems pretty much par for that course.

All that is to say that we spend this weekend at my parents house and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our visit was an exemplar of Summer in the south, complete with grilling, swimming, cantaloupe, corn on the cob, air conditioning, ice cream, cucumbers, and a little public nudity.

I'm always hesitant to post pictures like this but as you can see I couldn't resist in this case. Sorry grown-up Rolo.
